The Gabriel glass was developed by René Gabriel, a wine critic whose desire it was to have one single glass for every type of wine. Together with a team of glass experts, he developed the ultimate all-round glass, in which almost all wine varieties present perfectly. Currently this glass is used in many renowned restaurants and wineries.
There a two types of Gabriel wine glasses; the machine-made StandArt wine glass and the mouth-blown Gold wine glass. Both have the same design and provide the same experience when savoring the wine. The distinct difference is the weight of the glass, the StandArt glass weighs 150 grams, the Gold glass weighs 90 grams, a really wafer thin and feather light wineglass.
This glass is the StandArt glass, less fragile than the mouth-blown version.
