Care Instructions
For coloured stainless steel articles (gold/champagne/copper/black), slightly different care instructions apply than for uncoated stainless steel.
Hand wash
Hand wash is recommended. Avoid contact with scouring pads, bleach and the use of baking soda. Rinse off food residues immediately or wash items immediately after use. After all, prolonged exposure to salt and food acids causes damage. Do not soak the items. After washing up, use a soft cloth to dry off.
Dishwasher
Serve can be put in the dishwasher if the following instructions are observed. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents. These can damage the items. Avoid using soda and use detergents with a phosphate content of 3% or lower. Dishwashing programmes with a temperature of 40°C or less are recommended. Rinse off food residues before placing items in the dishwasher. After all, prolonged exposure to salt and food acids (e.g. mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard) causes damage.
To prevent "contact corrosion", items should be placed separately from other metals, e.g. cutlery. Contact corrosion is caused by the contact of different types of metal.
Keep in mind that the coating may still fade over time, even if the above instructions are followed.
